Mint loveliness

I finished the second jacket in mint green. They are identical, although the lighting makes one look darker...

Next I will knit two in white...

Christmas was for you!

Merry Christmas to all... may you accept the greatest Gift- the gift of salvation through Jesus' Blood shed for you for your pardon.

Coming as a Babe, He will return as the Victorious King... be ready. Get saved. Today is the day to receive the greatest Gift- eternal life...

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  John 1:25

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7

Taking shape

So the soft apple green second cardigan is taking shape. I think it will be finished over the weekend.

I know apple green is both my granddaughters' favourite colour so I know they will both be happy with their jacket.

Once again, this is my favourite baby jacket pattern in blackberry stitch. It's knitted in Patons 4 play using 3.25mm needles for the bands and 3.75mm for the body and sleeves.

My new favourite needles are circular bamboo...

Another apple on the way!

This picture shows how my living room is today.. the wind is gently blowing my curtains as I sit knitting yet another Soft Apple baby jacket..

Another granddaughter is trying for a baby and she loves green too. In fact, I made a lovely Soft Apple green shawl for her already..

So I am extremely happy to be expecting more great-grandchildren.  Especially with them being close. It will be like having twins.

In fact, I have decided to make two of each colour for the new mummies! I will post a pic when it's finished.

Soft Green Apple loveliness

I am excited to hear that another great-grandchild is on the way and as it is a first child for my granddaughter, she has no jackets as yet.

Her favourite colour is green, so as requested I have started a blackberry cardigan in Patons 4ply colour Soft Green Apple. The bands are knitted on size 3.25mm  needles and the main body and sleeves are knitted on 3.50mm needles.

She already has my shawl I crocheted for her so I will major on doing little cardigans.

Nana's baby's pretty in pink!

My granddaughter sent me this picture of my youngest great-grandchild wearing my pink blackberry stitch cardigan.

What a difference from this one that was way too big for her back then.

It's so nice to see them on her...

My latest projects

I have just finished another baby blue shawl and half-way through this dusky rose one.

I am planning on giving the appropriate coloured shawl to my friend's daughter but it is too early to know which one to gift yet.

These were done in my favourite baby blanket pattern in 8ply acrylic yarn using a 3.5mm hook

Waiting to be gifted

So I  finished the final white shawl to be gifted to the youngest grandchildren.

It has a blackberry stitch centre and has a single chain border.

It is just waiting here to be gifted to their mother to hold for them until needed.

Personalised art

When my granddaughter was born, I did a personalised picture which was framed.

I designed it on Microsoft Publish It using a photo of her, printed the finished picture with high gloss photo paper.

At almost 13, she still has it among her other treasures, one being the little cuddle blanket I made her.

Creativity comes in all mediums.
