Same. Same.

Perhaps this will help.
You may recall I suffer from trigger finger and arthritis in my hands. It's only recently that I have taken up knitting and crochet after putting it away for a few years.
Today I came across an advertisement for supports for the thumb area that kills us as we knit or crochet.
Here is the link! I am not affiliated with this company, but just want to pass information on to others who suffer similar pains and who miss being creative because of it.
Perhaps this will help.

Not feeling creative...
These last few weeks have been horrid. My fatigue and pain levels were so high that I had to have Prednisolone to bring down the inflammation from my Polymyalgia Rheumatica and fibromyalgia.
I have been so fatigued that I have to have a nana nap after breakfast. Without it I can't even function. So I have had to just do the basics to keep our home clean and keep us watered and fed.
As soon as I feel better, spoons withstanding, I will be back to knitting and feeling creative again...

Not wasting my time

Some encouragement for you!
Not so long ago, I developed Trigger Finger and osteo arthritis in my hands which caused my fingers to not be able to bend or straighten.
I regretfully packed away all my wool and needles and hooks and lamented just another thing that age and chronic illness had taken from me.
Then I visited my twin sister who was busy crocheting baby blankets.
She too suffered from arthritis in the hands and she proudly flexed her swollen fingers and encouraged me to take it up again. I did.
I suffer with fibromyalgia and it is important to find something to take my mind off pain, and I find knitting or crocheting does that to some degree.
I believe it is healthy and very satisfying to be creative and I have knitted, crocheted or sewn many gifts for family and friends.
I can actually bend my fingers now. If you are in a similar position and have given up on handcrafts, I would encourage you to try one more time.
