I loved the apricot yarn

I made this baby jumper for my first grandchild. It was done in a pale apricot 3ply baby wool- Feathersoft.

I sewed little flat pearlised plain buttons on the neck opening. It was really cute..

A pink jacket for Brooke

I have recently found pictures of some of the jackets I have made over the years. This one was knitted in pink for my granddaughter, Brooke.

It had a lovely cable each side of the bilateral panel. Brooke's mother has kept it all these years, which is sweet.

Brings back memories

So I have been uploading family photos for my adult children and grandchildren and whilst posting, I came across this picture of my firstborn and he is wearing a jacket I knitted for him.

I recall I used Paton feathersoft 3 ply yarn and although I remember I used tortoise shell needles, I can't remember the size...

Other cardigans were done in my favourite blackberry stitch, but I did some in fisherman's rib cable which is what this one is.. but I couldn't find a photo of one on any of my babies...

I am glad I found this picture, it sure does bring back memories..

Candy stripe sweetness

I call this little pink and white jacket my candy stripe jacket. It is done in fisherman's cable in 4 ply Patons wool.

It did  look cute on my little granddaughter, Tay.

Tay's cable stitch jacket

Another favourite stitch that was so easy to do. I used to make each baby a blackberry stitch jacket, booties and beanie set- it was my signature gift to each. I used Patons 4 ply baby wool.

But another one I loved to make was this one... both looked equally lush.. I think it's called Fisherman's Cable (or rib)..
